Visit Natives works with local Sami reindeer herders in Northern Norway. Our mission is to preserve the traditional reindeer herding livelihood and traditional Sami culture to future generations. Book this adventure of a lifetime and you become part of an effort to preserve indigenous cultures, improve their socio-economic conditions, and to protect the fragile nature.
In a tent (all camping supplies are provided). All travelers sleep in a traditional Sami lavvu tent that is heated. A toilet is outdoors in a separate tent, no shower.
The Sami family cook and prepare all the food on this tour (breakfast, lunch, dinner). The tasty food is prepaid from local ingredients including reindeer meat, fish, Arctic berries, bred and more.
Your host Sami family pick you up from the airport by car. After two hours drive, you change the transportation to snowmobiles — you sit on a passenger sled that is pulled by a snowmobile. The Sami family drives you back to Alta airport or Alta city when the tour ends.
